A dynamic law firm, is seeking a mid-level Securities & Capital Markets Attorney for the firm’s Rochester, Buffalo or Albany office.
Remote arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience with Securities and Capital Markets law
- Preferred candidates will have experience representing issuers and investment banks in public and private offerings of securities, advising publicly traded companies on compliance with the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, exchange listing standards and corporate governance required
- Candidates must have relevant prior law firm experience, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, strong work ethics
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in state and in good standing with the state of New York
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Enthusiasm for client service and initiative are essential
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Securities & Capital Market matters from inception to resolution
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses
- Develop and implement case strategies
- Advise and communicate with clients on case status, legal issues, and potential risks
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient case management
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends
